“Ouachita Baptist University Athletics is excited about the partnership with Vivature.  We know the student-athlete experience will be enhanced from The Ouachita Athletic Training standpoint.  The opportunity and privilege we have to work together and coincide our efforts will continue to move our program forward.”

David Sharp

Director of Athletics, Ouachita Baptist University

Vivature presented Ouachita Baptist University’s Sports Medicine Department with their first revenue check totaling $4,934.71, as the first installment of their 5-year partnership. On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, Dallas-based Vivature’s representative Don Stowers, traveled to Arkansas with what they lightheartedly call a “Happy Gilmore check” to deliver personally to OBU’s Athletic training staff. But it was no light matter, as the revenue money was genuinely appreciated by the OBU Sports Medicine Department.

When asked to comment about this recent and prosperous partnership, Lance Wilson, Vivature’s Executive Vice President stated, Our cutting-edge technology that the VIVAiQ software brings to the Tigers training rooms will not only ensure the student athletes continue receiving quality of care, but will also continue to generate new finances into their Athletics Department”. Kyle Bowles, OBU’s Head Athletic Trainer was quick to add, “We greatly appreciate all that you guys are doing for us!”

Ouachita Baptist University has stayed true to the pledge to their student-athletes, “to provide growth opportunities for success in a competitive intercollegiate program that attracts, nurtures and graduates student-athletes who under the guidance of a quality staff, represent Ouachita Baptist University with character and integrity while achieving academic excellence, serving the community and striving for excellence in their respective sports”.

By partnering with Vivature to upgrade their Tigers Training Rooms with the highest compliance standards of Student-Athlete’s healthcare documentation, they are quickly seeing the revenue their athletic training staff has generated by caring for their student-athletes.

Ouachita Baptist University fields 15 intercollegiate teams in the Great American Conference, including Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Football and Women’s Softball. OBU is Division II of the NCAA.
